I recently enjoyed a getaway in beautiful, tropical Encinitas, California. Our stay at this luxurious, one bedroom cottage was absolutely wonderful! Everything for a relaxing retreat was provided - cedar barrel spa with jets, plasma televisions in every room, outside sound system, palapa day bed, garden lounge, outdoor wood fire, and an additional gas fireside dining deck area. I don’t want to forget to mention the touch screen universal remote that controlled all of these fun indoor and outdoor features.

And all of this is simply the beginning! Encinitas offers many activities and is a fun coastal community. The Old Paloma Theatre often plays classic surf movies, and the nearby Moonlight Beach provides great family fun. Several popular surf spots are within walking distance or a quick drive from the cottage. The owner can provide you with directions to the best spots upon request.

The dining options are great as well! Be sure to check out Las Olas, the Chart House, Jakes, and Leucadia Pizzeria. Some of the restaurants in the area provide ocean views, so you can take advantage of the breathtaking coastline. When vacationing in Encinitas, you are also close to the attractions in San Diego and just 70 miles from Disneyland in Anaheim.

This Encinitas property is a tropical paradise! Lush, tropical landscaping surrounds the property providing plenty of privacy. Fountains and the sound of trickling water create a feel of peace and relaxation. The cottage is plantation style with a spacious and open floor plan. The many windows and skylights bring in lots of natural light. Wood floors, a wood burning fireplace, dimmer light switches and candles create the ambiance for any mood. The kitchen is also a chef’s delight. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an industrial range stove provide the perfect setup for concocting tasty snacks and delicious meals.

The owner and his dog, Ono, are friendly and provided a very warm welcome, and he offered assistance with any questions we had about local dining options or tips for activities in the area. And we discovered that for additional relaxation options, the owner can set up appointments for professional local massage therapists to come and massage your worries and cares away right there at the cottage. What a perk and luxury!

The plantation cottage offered a getaway full of fun and relaxation! I would recommend this property to everyone. Come experience this tropical oasis for yourself!
