The Bear family and I recently traveled to Texas, and we stayed at this wonderful lakefront vacation house on Lake Conroe. What we enjoyed most was being right on the lake. Just sitting on the dock and relaxing was so enjoyable we hardly needed anything else! But there’s lots to do around Lake Conroe and in the nearby town of Montgomery, and Houston is just an hour away.

Lake Conroe is 21 miles long and six miles wide at its widest point. Enjoy boating, water sports, swimming and relaxing by the shore. Fishing is great here for catfish and bass. The lake is surrounded by beautiful golf courses, restaurants, shopping and 157 miles of shoreline. This peaceful setting makes for a relaxing vacation.

The Conroe area’s 19th Century history is preserved in museums, historic homes and antique shops. Montgomery’s history as one of the oldest towns in Texas is showcased in the Historic Downtown District, where you can also enjoy shopping and dining. The Sam Houston National Forest borders the Lake Conroe area.

Our favorite pastime was relaxing at this beautiful and comfortable vacation house – especially on the huge lakefront deck, and we ate most of our meals outside too. We played on the lake as much as possible, and the cubs never ran out of things to do.

This Conroe vacation rental property has a boat dock with a swim ladder, and jet ski and boat rental shops are nearby. Being in such a beautiful home with such beautiful surroundings and a nice quiet town made the trip really enjoyable.
